Pragmatic Play Christmas slots: do the Xmas versions pay differently? 17 holiday titles checked

Short answer — No, the RTP does not change in Pragmatic Play’s Christmas reskins. We found six holiday versions of existing games on the official site: Christmas Big Bass Bonanza, Sweet Bonanza Xmas, Sugar Rush Xmas, Gates of Olympus Xmas 1000, Wisdom of Athena 1000 Xmas and Starlight Christmas. All six list exactly the same RTP as their originals. The eleven standalone holiday games are spread more widely, from 95.92% (Santa) to 96.71% (Big Bass Christmas Bash). We checked all 17 pages on 19 October 2026.
Holiday versions appear in lobbies every December. This guide shows which ones are the same game in festive clothes, and how the standalone Christmas titles compare on the official figures.
Christmas reskins vs originals
| Christmas version (official page) | RTP | Original | RTP |
|---|---|---|---|
| Christmas Big Bass Bonanza | 96.71% | Big Bass Bonanza | 96.71% |
| Sweet Bonanza Xmas | 96.48% | Sweet Bonanza | 96.48% |
| Sugar Rush Xmas | 96.50% | Sugar Rush | 96.50% |
| Gates of Olympus Xmas 1000 | 96.50% | Gates of Olympus 1000 | 96.50% |
| Wisdom of Athena 1000 Xmas | 96.00% | Wisdom of Athena 1000 | 96.00% |
| Starlight Christmas | 96.50% | Starlight Princess | 96.50% |
The mechanics are also essentially unchanged in four of the six. Sweet Bonanza Xmas keeps multipliers up to 100x, Sugar Rush Xmas keeps the doubling spots up to 128x, and Christmas Big Bass Bonanza keeps the 2x, 3x and 10x retrigger multipliers. Gates of Olympus Xmas 1000 adds “special reels” in free spins. Starlight Christmas is the odd one: its page describes cluster wins of 12 or more and a “20-payline” layout, unlike the Starlight Princess tumble game. Check its paytable before assuming it plays like Starlight Princess.

*Expected cost = (100% − RTP) × ₱10,000, our calculation of a long-run average.
The spread between the highest and lowest standalone game is 0.79 percentage points. On ₱10,000 of total bets, that is ₱329 against ₱408, a difference of ₱79 by our calculation. Santa, at 95.92%, is one of the few Pragmatic games below 96%. Several holiday titles, including Big Bass Christmas Bash and Ding Dong Christmas Bells, offer a bonus buy at 100x the bet. That is ₱1,000 on a ₱10 stake, so check the cost before you use it.
Feature notes worth knowing
- Ding Dong Christmas Bells: in free spins, each wild carries 2x, and several wilds in one win add their multipliers.
- Santa’s Slay: when wilds land on the same spot, it gains +1x, and multiplier wilds in a win add together. Base-game wins go up to 200x.
- Big Bass Christmas Bash: dynamite, hook and bazooka features can place a fisherman on the reels to collect money symbols when none has landed.
Seasonal play, sensibly
- A Christmas version of a game you know has the same RTP. Choose it for the theme, not for better odds.
- For standalone holiday games, check the RTP in the game’s information screen. Your platform’s setting may differ.
- Holiday promotions do not change a game’s maths. Read any promotion’s terms separately.
- Set your budget before the holidays, not during them.
Before you play
Online gaming in the Philippines is for adults only (21+), so check the age rule and the licence of the platform you use. Set a budget and a time limit before you start. A festive theme does not change the odds.
